The event is an important moment for the approach that addresses the future of the profession, intending to provide, with the help of experts, an overview of how BIM technology can be used in projects.

The workshop will provide participants the opportunity to experiment on their own projects with some of the methods and tools presented during the conference.

The workshop will be held by Mikael and Mauro together with their BIM Expert colleague Riccardo Prenza.

Mikael Santrolli is an Architect proficient in BIM workflows and an expert modeler specialized in parametric software, computational design and automation programming. During his career he has worked with Foster and Partners, Zaha Hadid Architects and other international practices on projects with high levels of complexity. Currently Mikael leverages parametric modelling and programming in his department and with MKS DTECH he researches and develops solutions in automation and design technology for the AEC.

Mauro Sabiu is an experienced Architect focusing on BIM, advanced modelling, computational design and automation. While in Zaha Hadid Architects, Perkins + Wills and other international practices, Mauro worked on a wide variety of projects worldwide, including aviation, research and infrastructure. He plays an active role in BIM and design technology development and has been involved in several R&D projects for the AEC. Mauro has given speeches in conferences and universities worldwide about BIM, Digital and Computational Design.

Alin Mărgărit started his career as an Architectural Drafter at one of the largest engineering studios in his hometown, Timisoara. After finishing his architectural and urban design studies at the Polytechnic University of Timisoara, he joined a leading project management and architecture practice in Timisoara, working as a Lead Architect and BIM Manager for some of the most important foreign investment projects in the region.
As a BIM and Design Systems Lead at Foster + Partners and together with his team, he is working on delivering BIM on major infrastructure and commercial projects in the Middle East and Asia regions.
